Webinar on digital twins - opportunities for data.europa.eu in the age of digital twins
Trends in Geospatial Data
Data.europa.eu, the official portal for data on Europe, offers courses as part of the data.europa.eu academy to promote data literacy around open data.
Together with 52°North, con terra manages the part of data.europa.eu that concerns geodata: geoharvesting, gazetteers and the visualisation of geodata and real-time data. In this context, we regularly identify current trends in the geodata community and analyse their potential impact on the European Data Portal.
Webinar
On 13 September 2024 at 10:00 a.m., the webinar ‘Geospatial trends 2024: opportunities for data.europa.eu in the era of digital twins’ will take place as part of the data.europa academy. This year's webinar will focus on the topic of digital twins. After a presentation introducing the topic, the online participants will discuss the relevance of digital twins for data.europa.eu. The following questions will be asked:
- What opportunities does this trend present for data.europa.eu?
- How can data.europa.eu utilise the technology?
- How could data.europa.eu support the use of digital twins?
We invite everyone to join the webinar and participate in the discussion. We are pleased to be part of this project and to exchange views on current trends in the field of geodata together with various participants from the geospatial community.
A report of the results will be published after the webinar.
